Hotel Services
The Hotel Services Department at Numurkah District Health Service consists of four areas, being; Food Services, Environmental Services, Maintenance and Supply Department.
The Food Services Department has a compliment of full-time, permanent/part-time and casual staff totalling 17 members. Food Services are required to produce an average of 6,000 meals per month. Along with normal meals, they provide for those with special dietary requirements. Our Food Services department also works with Moira Healthcare Alliance to provide Meals on Wheels to members of the local community.
The Environmental Department comprises of full-time, permanent/part-time and casual staff totalling 15 members. Environmental are required to maintain the standards of cleanliness as set out in the Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards. Numurkah District Health Service scored an impressive 94.6% for 2009. The benchmark is 85%.
Our Maintenance Department, consisting of 3 full time members and 1 trainee are responsible for all of the general upkeep of the health services' equipment, facilities and maintaining the grounds. Maintenance Department supervise any external contractors whilst they are working on site at NDHS.
The Supply Department is managed by the Supply Officer. A large range of medical and food supplies is required by NDHS and our Supply Department is always busy distributing anything from paper clips to medical equipment throughout the facility.
The Hotel Services Department takes pride in service our clientele in a professional manner so as to make their stay as comfortable and safe as possible.
