Men's Shed
Progress Report
Many thanks for your interest in the Numurkah Shed project, and for indicating your willingness to assist in setting up the shed. As you will be aware, the property (formerly “Webb’s Fences”) at 50 Knox Street has been purchased by the Moira Healthcare Alliance, and the title was transferred on Tuesday, July 1. We now have a shed - which is completely empty and needs a fair amount of work to be done.
OPEN DAY
Was held on Saturday with over 40 people coming to visit and a wide variety of donations already being received. Thanks to the Rotary Club for the BBQ.
Donations
All items will be most welcome, either for use (once checked out) or for resale or spare parts. (We will most likely need volunteers to pick up items later)
Planning Meeting
Part of the setting up is to establish the Shed as an incorporated association – which will be necessary to manage our own finances - and to appoint office bearers. Part of the process is to either adopt “model” rules for running the association, or set up our own. A copy of the model rules is available for download.
The meeting to consider this is scheduled for Monday, July 28, commencing at 7.30pm at the Numurkah Senior Citizens. It is most important that as many interested persons as possible attend. Can you please come along?
This is a very exciting phase with much to be done, and your support will be most welcome. |
