Committees 

Thanks to the people who serve tirelessly on our committees, many of whom give up a great deal of their own time in the service of the wellbeing of others in the community.

Finance and Risk Sub-Committee

The Finance and Risk Sub-Committee advises the Board of Management on matters relating to the use of financial resources by Numurkah District Health Service.

Meeting bi-monthly, the Sub-Committee examines the Service’s forecast financial position, its monthly financial statements and the financial health of the Service. Its members are:

  • Mr Lindsay Mitchell - Board Member
  • Mr Ernest Jones - Board Member
  • Mr Jock McPherson - Board Member
  • Mr Michael Tymensen- Board Member
  • Mrs. Melissa Nicoll - Board Member
  • Mrs Anne O’Connor- Manager Finance and Administration 
  • Mr Graeme Parish - Independent Member

Quality Improvement Sub-Committee

The Quality Improvement Sub-Committee meets bi-monthly to monitor all quality assurance mechanisms implemented by Numurkah District Health Service, review standards of care and ensure relevant accreditation standards are met on behalf of the Board. Its members are:

  • Mrs Debra Hitchcock – Nurse Unit Manager Numurkah Pioneers Memorial Lodge
  • Mrs Elaine Frecklington - Nurse Unit Manager - Theatre
  • Mrs Kerry Swann – Quality Systems Coordinator/ Assistant Director of Nursing
  • Mrs Anne O’Connor – Manager Finance and Administration
  • Mr John Fothergill – Maintenance Supervisor
  • Mr Steven Muirson - Hotel Services Manager
